18 MONTHS OLD!!!!!
My, my my, time is flying by and you are changing by leaps and bounds! I have so much to report that I will do it in bullet form:
* 18-24 mos. clothes, size 5 shoe, size 4 diaper (height and weight at tomorrow's doctor appointment)
* Drinks from a cup! loves fruit and veggies....especially cottage cheese! Loves Oreo cookies and will break them apart and eat the center....definitely has a sweet tooth. Not a huge fan of meat, but might eat it if she can dunk it in catsup or honey mustard! Drinks warm milk in the morning and bedtime! Loves Caprisuns!
* One nap a day (1 1/2-2 hours)..... Sleeps in crib and starting to put self to sleep. She has a star gazing lamp and will turn it on herself and stops at the color purple each time, and SHE LOVES HER PACI!
* Learning to dress self, insists on brushing own teeth, combing hair (what little she has), puts on own lotion and is obsessed with washing her hands, tries to wipe herself at diaper changes, uses potty almost every morning and tells us when she goes potty throughout the day, but we are not consistently catching her in time....I think the training is more for us than her right now.....Mommy plans on serious potty training this summer.
* Academically she learning new things daily! Talks in 3-4 word phrases (Where are you?, There it is., See you later, I love you), knows her colors, circle, heart, square, started trying to sing ABCs, counts 1,2,6,9, starting to match things and name pictures on flash cards on the iPad, loves Elmo, Peppa Pig, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse....she names all the characters! She loves her music in the car and will clap and say yea to get Mommy to turn it on, she knows all family members names...even in pictures, she will say family members' names grouped correctly (Mimi, Tata and Chael) or (Mamaw, Papaw and Zac)
* Physically her large motor and gross motor skills are right on track! She can roll and throw a ball, she still uses both hands to eat with, loves to dance ...she even has a dance routine....bounce, bounce, bounce ,turn around and shuffle ....and she LOVES TO SIT on things. Wonder what time out will look like for her since she loves to sit! Speaking of time out, the little temper is rearing it's ugly head....she says no and cries a lot when it's not her way....sometimes she hits..... all of this is normal and part of the learning process, but it breaks Mommy and Daddy's heart when they scold her. Oh and I don't want to forget to post that she has perfected "the look" as if she is saying with her eyes.... "Say What?"
* Good friends- cousins Nevaeh, Dylon and Jackson!
Love you to the moon and back! Love Mimi
