Caitlin had this bedroom set as a teenager and needless to say she was rough with it! The veneer was scratched and chipped in many areas. I actually felt bad giving it to her because it was in such bad shape....not to mention CHEAP! But Caitlin had a vision which included painting the furniture. After googling ways to paint furniture, I stumbled onto Annie Sloan's chalk paint .... but hated the high price! Then I stumbled upon DYI chalk paint made with plaster of paris! We love the results!!!! For those of you interested the key is the final step with waxing the furniture for protection. I used Minwax paste/polish.
