10 DAYS OLD

Mommy mentioned that breast feeding is going very well! Since she produces so much milk, she has to hold Gracyn in a football sitting position at the side of her hip. This hold prevents Gracyn from choking. Now when Mommy pumps she gets 4 oz from each breast in 15 minutes! That's a total of 8 oz during a pumping session. WOW!!! Gracyn is certainly satisfied.... Last night Mommy woke her up after a five hour sleeping stretch just to feed her! YAY!!!

10 DAYS OLD

FIRST HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME!!!! GO SPARTANS!  By the way, Mommy was able to wear her pre-pregnancy jeans tonight and they are buttoned!  She is sooooo excited!

9 DAYS OLD

No nipple confusion here! She loves her paci, drinks breast milk from a bottle (Tommee Tippee), and latches on Mommy like a pro!  YAY!!!!

WEIGHT LOSS

One week post partum and Caitlin is happy to report a 20 lb. weight loss! She is 10 lbs from pre pregnancy weight! Wedding ring is back on!!!

8 DAYS OLD!!!!

Our little pumpkin!

ONE WEEK OLD!!!!

At one week, Gracyn still sleeps ALOT!!!! She is now breast feeding well about every 4 hours. Mommy is a milking machine! Thank goodness she doesn't have to worry about producing enough milk. Mommy is also very successful in using the new double electric breast pump (Tommee Tippee- Highly Recommended!!)......Getting about 3-4 ounces from each breast in about 15 minutes! Not bad for the beginning phases of breast feeding! We are guessing Gracyn is drinking between 2-3 ounces during each feed....about 5-10 minutes on each breast until she passes out in a milk coma! She is also a champion burper and pooper!

5 DAYS OLD! BREAST FEEDING AND SLEEP

Little Miss Gracyn is a champion sleeper! Two nights in a row she has slept for 4 hour stretches (Getting up around 2 am) !!!!!

Breast feeding has been a challenge with poor to non existent latching which required Mommy to pump and bottle feed. Now that Mommy's milk is in Gracyn is starting to latch! Three successful feelings in a row so far.... Fingers crossed!
