OMG- 8 -MOS. OLD!
You are 8 months old! WOW! You are still under 17 lbs. but getting longer....last check a few weeks ago, you were 28 inches long! You are wearing mainly 9 month clothes, and between size 3 & 4 diaper. Your feet are also tiny....size 2 shoe. You hair is growing in nice and steady now.....I think you are going to have brown hair, but in some lights, I see more blond highlights....some pieces even have a curl at the end.....who knows....time will tell!
You give us big belly laughs, pretend coughs, and open mouth kisses! Your fine motor skills are honing in as you pinch your finger foods and feed yourself. You do really good with a straw and are eating more table foods now. Your large motor skills are getting better also, I see you go from a sitting position to a crawling position with ease. You will rock back and forth and then fall on your belly and scoot or roll everywhere. You also pull yourself up on your knees next to furniture and toys. If we stand you next to something, you will hold your balance for a few seconds! You also sit and play with your toys for an extended period of time. You have one toy that you put blocks in and out of. I think it is your favorite toy. Mommy and Daddy are baby proofing the house now!
You have recently become more vocal in expressing your needs. If you want something and don't get it right away, you get mad by clenching your fists and lips while your face turns red, but it is short lived! You LOVE to talk with your hands up in the air with your fingers moving! You also make a gurgling sound with your mouth and I think you are mimicking your Great Grandpa Richards who talks to you like Donald Duck! You plainly say Mom, or Mama, you also say ba, but that word is not associated with a bottle since you are breastfed. Speaking of breastfed, you will drop your paci out of your mouth and go for the milk as soon as Mommy starts lifting her shirt! Haha!
You continue to be a very content and easy baby! You have us all wrapped around your little finger.
